Bas yun hi pyar karunga tujhko hamesha,
Doonga deni padhe pyar ki kitni bhi parisha.

Har gam aur khushi batenge saath-saath,
Agar ruthi kabhi phir bhi rakhunga apne dil ke paas.

Meri muskrahat teri and tere gam mere,
Meri zindagi aur meri chahat hai ab naam tere.

Bas kabhi bhi ab hona na udas,
Kyunki har pal mein chupa hoga kuch khaas.

Ab intezaar hai un lamho ka,
Jab honge pass hum jitna ki socha tha.

Ye kavita nahi dil hai mera,
Jispe likha diya hai ab naam tera.

You filled colors in me...

I was happy,

With only green I see.

You taught me to laugh,

And painted colors in me.

I knew to walk,

That the best I could see,
You taught me to run,

And brought best in me.

I was sleeping,

Nothing much to feel.

You held my hand,

And brought me lovely dreams.

I loved to read,

Like an unexplored sea,

You made me write,

And invented a poet in me.
